The Board of Trustees (MWA) of IPB University officially appointed the Chair, Deputy Chair, and Members of the Audit Committee (KA) of IPB University 2019-2024. Based on MWA of IPB University Decree No. 004/K/MWA-IPB/2019 regarding the Appointment of Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and Members of the Audit Committee of IPB University for the period 2019-2024, MWA of IPB University appointed Dr. Agus Joko Pramono, MAcc, Ak, CA as Chair of the Committee Audit (KA) of IPB University in 2019-2024, replacing Dr. Sugiharto, SE, MBA after his term ends. The handing over of the position of Chairperson of KA of IPB University for the 2019-2024 period was held in the MWA of IPB University Plenary Session, Tuesday (7/7) at the IPB International Convention Center, Bogor.
In his speech, Dr. Sugiharto said that during the 2015-2019 period, KA of IPB University had held no less than 31 meetings attended by members of MWA of IPB University. Audit work reports and various proposals on the results obtained during his tenure can be continued in the next period.
“I think one of the things that are very useful for members of the Audit Committee is a physical visit to the field. “With that visit, we can see the material factors in the field so that it will sharpen the proposals and recommendations of the KA of IPB University,” he said.
With the current pandemic situation, continued Dr. Sugiharto, key performance indicators (KPI), program audits and ways of conducting audits need to be updated in line with the implementation of the new normal policy. He believes it can be done, by utilizing available technology to increase the work productivity of the KA of IPB University.
Dr. Agus Joko Pramono, as the elected Chairperson of KA of IPB University, revealed that he admitted the position handover was quite strategic, to understand IPB University’s past and future periods. “I believe that the future of Indonesia is in the hands of IPB University. I am sure that with the data that I understand and study, our absolute strength is in agriculture,” he said.
The absolute strength of IPB University in the agricultural business process, said Dr. Agus, became the spearhead to mitigate all problems, especially the existing food problems. That will be the program going forward, namely the process of mitigating governance, risk management, and compliance with all existing business processes. He will also revitalize matters related to increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and economics.
The Chair of MWA of IPB University, Prof. Dr. Tridoyo Kusumastanto said that all must immediately strengthen themselves with the existing situation. Different situations, with the presence of COVID-19, made IPB University must continue to take steps and take lessons. IPB University must stand on its own feet by relying on networking and collaboration capabilities and continue to synergize and continue to evaluate the use of assets.
Prof. Dr. Arif Satria, Rector of IPB University, in addition to congratulating Dr. Agus on his new mandate as Chair of IPB Train 201-20-2020, he also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the 2014-2019 audit committee who had played a role in increasing the accountability of IPB University as a university that promotes good university governance.
